Lolo's Eyeglass Catcher | Almost Rainbow
Keep your eye glasses close by and protected with this Eyeglass Catcher in our Rainbow Stripe -- in this case, the stripe was not placed exactly as we had planned but there are no other flaws. Whether you use readers or sunglasses, they will always be available when you slip them into the hand woven cotton pouch and wear around your neck to keep your hands free.
Our eyeglass catchers are named after the woman who suggested them as a product - our design director’s mother! She described what she wanted, we requested a prototype, made some adjustments and named the final product with the nickname her grandchildren gave her. She loves her eyeglass catchers, and we think you will too!

Frequently Asked Questions
All of our products are made in Cajolá, Guatemala by the Mayamam Weaving Cooperative, a group of foot loom weavers, backstrap weavers, and seamstresses located in Cajola, Guatemala. You can find out more about them here.
Our North American based designers are inspired by traditional patterns, motifs and colors woven by Maya women, which we adapt to fit contemporary products. For example, our Celebration table runners are inspired by the traditional basket liners used for tortillas. Often the best products come from a back-and-forth collaboration with the weavers and seamstresses as an initial design idea is prototyped and revised.
Mayamam Weavers is committed to being a fair trade business. As members of the Fair Trade Federation, our business is carefully vetted annually to ensure that we are adhering to the Fair Trade principles across the organization. Being Fair Trade verified means every product is made with respect for people and the planet. Artisans are paid fairly, work in safe conditions and have the opportunity to preserve their cultural traditions while supporting their families.
